Just Play Music™: The 60s in 2013
This is a short composition that I wrote for a commercial, re-creating a true 60s vibe, replete with dueling organs, ultra-wide stereo, mono-recorded & panned drums w/handclaps, and a touch of vinyl crackle and surface noise.
This piece was composed for a radio/online commercial. The idea was to re-create the 60s vibe down to the record crackle (added afterwards, of course).
To complete the image, the stereo was mixed like the early 60s records, with each instrument recorded in mono and panned hard left & right (with appropriate echo/reverb effects).
