Blue skies, blue water, a rocking sauna and near-freezing temperatures. A glorious day at a Swedish boathouse.
A sunny, glorious, chilly October day on the east coast of Sweden.
My friend and I walk down to his boathouse and survey the scene, as the traditional 'swim and sauna' was on the agenda for later in the evening...
The intense blue of the water nearly made my desert skin shiver at the thought of going in; but I'm one who likes to embrace traditions when abroad, and this wasn't my first time...
But before the 'big dip', I decided to snap a few memories of this beautiful, calm, quiet scene---part of a longstanding Swedish (and Finnish) tradition...Båthuset.
